It is the shortest day of the year.
Sometimes, I feel that I just want to sleep until Spring comes.
But then I remember that tomorrow the days will begin to lengthen. Only by 2 minutes a day, but by early January it will be noticeable.
So I prefer to think of this new season as Pre-Spring.
In only three months, Spring will be here...
Have a very happy Holiday Season!
That's looking on the bright side. :>)
ReplyDeleteWarmest holiday wishes to you and yours!
"bright side" -- Hee hee! :-)
DeleteThanks, Christine!
Nice :)

DeleteHappy holidays, Barbara! Love the sky in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claudine! The colours were so unusual I had to take a photo.

ReplyDeleteI now have another owl person in my world, Barb. DD decided they're her thing, so I brought some arty ones back from Jerusalem. Happy Hanukkah!
Yah for your daughter! When we visited M's cousin in Haifa in 2000, we discovered that he likes owls, too. And I learned that the Hebrew word for owl is "ulfish." I bought a small silver "ulfish" there. :-)
DeleteHappy Hanukkah, Mirka!
Pre-Spring: Perfect. I know that on Dec. 21 I'm always aware that the days will lengthen from now on. I just wish it wasn't still quite so dark at 6:30am. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Marcia! I wish Echo wasn't on permanent Daylight Savings Time, because he still wants to get up about an hour before I'm ready to.
