Thanks, Tracy! It was a great collaboration. Barbara's poetry and her art direction—it was fun to find the solution to make it a good cover for a good book.
Congratulations! What a great title. Sounds like a fun book. I was always looking for ways to turn my kids on to poetry when they were young. Humorous poetry is the best!
Hi, Chris. I wish I had know about your company--and that you didn't live so far away--back in 2010 when I was trying to sell my art deco piano! The incongruity of an astronaut playing an antique piano on the moon is supposed to show that my book is humorous, not a piano text.
I explain more fully in my interview with Jama Rattigan:
Awesome! So, it's official. What a great time working on a cover for a great collection of poems.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kevin! :-)
DeleteBarb! Kevin! This is such a cool cover. I LOVE it!! Many congratulations to both of you!
ReplyDeleteI'm Snoopy dancing, about the cover, and especially about your comment, Tracy! You have absolutely made my day! Thank you. :-)

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like the title, Ruth!
DeleteI should point out, though, that my book is aimed at an adult audience. Nothing is really racy, but I'd rate it as PG.
Love the colour combinations and the illustration. Congratulations on a wonderful cover!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claudine!
DeleteWhy a Spaceman playing the piano?
