First photo, of the snow-covered owls, taken today. Second one, same view, taken December 29, 2013.
For comparison, the owls are 12" high. The glass railing is 3 ' high.
It's still snowing and will continue for several hours.
This is one of the times I'm glad we're in a condo and don't have to worry about shovelling a driveway or sidewalks. We cancelled M's appointment for today.
If this is California, it must be in the High Sierras. Because where we are it is a true California winter others can only dream about: blue skies, sixty degrees at mid-day, and the air is spring-clean.
ReplyDelete*sigh* I'm so envious of your weather, Mirka. Going to look at my California vacation photos now...
DeleteBarb, as much as I love living in SC, I miss the quiet hush of snow falling. It's so pretty. Magical. In Jan 2018 we had a winter storm that killed all our fruit trees but we really enjoyed the snow. Our kids and dog had a great time playing in it.
ReplyDeleteEcho really liked snow. He'd push his nose through it with delight. I suppose if snow is a rare occurrence it might be a nice change.
DeleteLooking out the window, I think it's finally stopped snowing. Singing "here Comes the Sun"!
