Flossie (an original poem)

FLOSSIE

Flossie is my dentist and
her words ring in my head.
"This tooth of yours is necrotized
(in other words, it's dead.)

I'd really like to pull it 'cause
it's hanging by a thread.
Don't scream too loud, and don't bite me,"
is what my dentist said.

    1. Thanks, Susan! :-)

I hope to read some more of your poetry, soon. And your fiction, too, of course.

  4. Poor dentists. Is anyone ever happy to see them? Enjoyed the poem, (made me smile!), thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks, Angela!

I was just having fun with the name, Flossie, here. Another dentist poem, "Something's Rotten," (a combination of three different dentists) is in ANTIQUE PIANO & OTHER SOUR NOTES. :-)
